In this post I’ll share the perfect morning routine that anyone can do.
Developing a morning routine that you can actually stick to is key for having a successful day. It will boost your productivity and get your day started on the right foot.
Who needs a morning routine?
Umm, everyone! Whether you’re headed back to school or work, everyone needs a morning regimen that they can stick to. Take a look at some of my personal tips to start your day off right!
Get a good night’s sleep
A good day starts with good sleep the night before. I notice that when I don’t sleep well, I’m automatically more tired and sluggish.
Get up a bit earlier than usual
Let’s face it. We all want to sleep a little bit longer in the morning but you’ll find that if you get up earlier, you will have more time in the day and be less rushed. Also you be more productive.
Make your bed
The first thing I do when I get up is make my bed. It’s a great habit to start and an easy way to bring structure to your day.
Take to to pray or read devotions/meditate
I try to do a daily devotion every morning. Quick prayers throughout the day also give me the strength I need to continue my daily tasks.
Eat breakfast
If you know me, you know that I am a huge proponent of breakfast. I never skip breakfast. Ever! Breakfast gives you the energy you need for the day. My favorite breakfast meal is a non dairy yogurt with fruit and granola with nuts (for protein). A banana and whole wheat toast is also a healthy breakfast option.

Clean up a bit
Before I eat my breakfast, I am sure to straighten up a bit to give myself a clean space to work in. Wiping down counters, surfaces and doorknobs/handles is a daily must that I started during the pandemic and continue to do to keep my family and I healthy.

Wash your face, girl
And the rest of your body too. But seriously, nothing wakes me up faster than a splash of water on my face.
Do morning exercises, stretches or yoga
Morning stretches get your body warmed up and ready for the day. If you have time, yoga, morning exercises, or even a quick walk will get your body moving as well give your that feel good juice.
Pencil in time to journal
Journaling is writing therapy for a lot of people and I am personally just starting to realize this. I always buy journals because I end up loving the beautiful covers on them. But now it’s time to put them to use. I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite journal writing prompts in the future.
Art Journal therapy
Art journal therapy is also a good way to express your creativity while releasing your feelings. It’s a new way to journal and I’m excited to give it personally give it a try.
Hopefully these morning tips will help you start your day well!
