Dick’s House of Sport VIP Event Recap

 This week I had the pleasure of attending the brand spanking new Dick’s House of Sport in Minnetonka for a VIP event.







Dick’s House of Sport is a sports store experience like no other. There are sport services, community events, and a huge product assortment. This new store in Minnetonka, Minnesota is the third House of Sport location.

Upstairs

When you enter, there’s a huge Jumbotron that broadcasts local and national games and events. Our tour took us through this huge sports store. We took a look at women and men’s athletic wear brands throughout the store.

CALIA is a women’s private label brand that’s only available at Dick’s. They offer lifestyle, fitness, swimwear, golf and even maternity collections.

VRST, short for versatile, is an athletic apparel line for men to work out in or work from home in without having to change their clothes.

Another private label brand that’s only available at Dick’s is made for the entire family and is also affordable and size inclusive. I ended up grabbing a few pairs of workout leggings just for me.






As we continued on our tour, we saw the footwear deck which boasts more than 2,400 shoe choices to choose from and includes brands like Nike, Vans, Adidas and as well as Birkenstock and Dr. Martens.





In the back of the store is a huge, 35 foot climbing wall that is available for open climb, classes, birthday parties, fundraising events and even team building activities. Just make your reservations online or in store. For ages six and up.

Next to the climbing wall, you’ll find the health and wellness bar where you can purchase all your protein powders, yoga blocks and activity trackers. They even offer early morning yoga sessions and you can also schedule a personal consultation with a local wellness expert.




Downstairs

After that, we headed downstairs to take a look at House Of Cleats which is a 360° buying experience where you can try on and test your cleats on their indoor turf pad.


Then we looked at the hockey shop which is the first and only Dick’s specially hockey shop and on-site hockey ambassador. Hockey sticks at Dick’s feature graphics from local high schools, hockey clubs, and more. They even feature helmets made by Minnesota artists.




In Fall of 2022, Dick’s will debut an outdoor field and track, a 20,000 ft. turf field, and a two lane running track that’ll be open year round and can be used for baseball, softball training, yoga, you name it.



There literally was so much to see and do at Dicks House of Sport store. Like the baseball batting cage where you can test your softball or baseball swing. Or, the outdoor assortment of bikes for the whole family. And I can’t forget to mention the huge variety of Yeti and Hydro Flask products. Or the outdoor grills and gas pizza ovens that were calling my name. Oh, and if you are a golf fan, there are golf hitting bays, a putting green, plus an on staff PGA Golf Professional to help you get your swing on point. Man, sports fans are gonna love this place!


During the Dick’s House of Sport grand opening weekend June 3 through June 5, there will be special appearances from Justin Jefferson, and Minnesota’s own Joe Mauer. There will be also be giveaways, House of Sport games and the first 100 adults will receive mystery gift cards each morning!
