My absolute favorite way to make my house smell like the holidays is to light a holiday scented candle. Anything with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and Christmas tree scents will transform your home into a Christmas village.

Use holiday scented essential oils to make a DIY room spray

Last year, I tried holiday essential oils like candy cane and pine scotch pictured above. It’s easy to make a homemade holiday spray. Just add alcohol and essential oils in a small spray container.

I can remember my mom cooking a pot of Christmas potpourri on the stove and it smelled wonderful. The simmering scents of cinnamon and orange just puts you in the holiday spirit. A simple search on Pinterest will yield lots of Christmas potpourri recipes.
