Now that kids are out of school and parents are working from home it seems that people are getting bored. Rightfully so. We've never been told that we have to social distance before and outright stay at home. This is new for all of us.
I decided to put together a list of things that I plan to add to my daily routine to help keep sane during this uncertain time. Feel free to pick and choose which ones will work well for you and your family!

Things to Do During the Coronavirus Shutdown
Start your Spring cleaning
This is the best time to spring clean. You can enlist the help of your kids too since they are home with you. So if you've been putting this off, don't. I plan to start organizing my closet today.
I know some of you may but low on household cleaners. I forgot to purchase my normal bottle of disinfectant last month and now they are out. You can still use all-purpose cleaners and they will work just fine. The purpose is to clean your home and disinfect commonly used items like doorknobs and handles. Thankfully I've got my wipes for that. There are also many DIY cleaning recipes out there like this one.

Consider starting any spring remodeling projects like painting
I've got a lot of touch up painting to do around the house and as soon as it gets a bit warmer I plan to open the windows and get to it.
One spring remolding project I plan to tackle is to update my kitchen counters with a DIY marble kit I received last year from Giani. I'll be changing my boring cream colored counters to nice DIY marble countertops.
Read your favorite books or a new one
Got a favorite book? Re-read it. Or if you're into the newest books out there pick one up from Amazon or on your e-reader. I have several books that I've read the first chapter or two. Now is a great time to actually finish these books.
Exercise, exercise, exercise
This is so important for our physical and mental health. Go outside and walk around the block or your yard. If you're not going outside at all, you can easily do home works outs to get the blood pumping. The endorphins give your mood a boost and you just feel better.

Have a dance party with the kids or by yourself
Dancing used to be my jam back in the day. Nowadays I don't go out and every now and then I hear my favorite song and cut a step or two right in my living room. Music also makes us feel better. I would encourage you to turn up your music, grab the kids or your guy and have a blast.
Find your normalcy and do that
If you work outside the home, be sure to get dressed every day. Do your hair, put on makeup, whatever you do on a normal day. Though I'm a SAHM I still think it's important to stick to my schedule as much as possible. Structure is good for all of us.
Just remember, we are all in this together!
