If you know anything about me you know that I love wearing rocking lipstick. It’s my favorite way to wear makeup. And I don’t leave the house without it. Ever! But one thing is for sure. You've got to take care of your lips to prevent dry lips and cracking. That doesn't look good no matter what type of lipstick you wear.
Below I’ll show you a few new lip balms, lipsticks, lip scrub, lip glosses, and lip masks that I am trying currently.
Tips to keep your lips soft and smooth this winter
I am a lip balm fanatic so you will never have several around my house at any given time.
Dr. Bronner's Organic Lip Balm in peppermint has jojoba, avocado and hemp oils and are perfect for chapped lips.
First, start off by exfoliating your lips with a lip scrub. St. Ives Passionfruit Lip Scrub sloughs away dry skin and leaves you with soft smooth lips.
Follow up with a soothing lip mask from TwelveNYC Perfect Pout Cooling Gel Lip Mask. You put the lip mask in the refrigerator for one hour or freezer for 30 minutes. It’s best to used actors scrubbing those lips to provide call soothing relief.
Burts Bees Lip Shimmer in Peony has that shea butter goodness to help moisturize set in soft in your lips naturally. This has a shimmer to it and you can wear it alone but I would layer it with another colored lipstick. When I’m at home I’ll wear this around the house.
Milani Bold Color Statement Matte Lipstick in I Am Confident is a hyperpigmented formula that provides bold color with one stroke. I love old colored lipstick I love the vibrant colors bold colors that Matt lipstick offers however it can be drying on my lips so I always follow it up with a nice lip gloss.
If plump if you’re looking for a plumping lip gloss Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker (not crazy about the name) lip plumping gloss in Plums Up gives you extreme volume and moisture making lives feel instantly fuller.
At the end of a long cold winter day moisturize your lips with Burts Bees Moisturizing lip mask. The natural ingredients in this leave you with soft smooth nourished lips.
