Happy 7th Blog Anniversary! 7 Things I'm Working on as an Influencer

Hey everyone! Stacie Raye turns 7 years old today and I'm excited about the things to come!

For those of you that are new to Stacie Raye, welcome! I've been blogging for over ten years and this is my third blog, not including the blog I had for my soap making business years ago. You can learn more about me and my blog journey here.

As each blog anniversary approaches, I reflect on the previous year and start planning for the year to come. I'm a firm believer that you are never too old to learn something new so I decided that this year I'm going to get back to basics and focus on those areas.

7 Things I'm Working on as an Influencer

1. Upgrading my camera. I love my DSLR camera but I'm hoping to upgrade to a more current model with slightly more features.

2. Taking photography classes. Once I upgrade my camera, I'm going to take a few classes because I just jumped right into using a DSLR camera without knowing a whole lot about photography. I've read a ton of blogs and watch just as many videos, but I want that hands-on experience a class can give.

3. Engagement. My engagement rate isn't that bad but it could use improvement. I plan to work on cultivating real conversations more often than I do. It's hard though because I have a life outside of social media so I'll need to find a balance.

4. Improving my videos. I hate to say it but my videos are bad y'all. I have YouTube videos with thousands of views and some with only 16. It all boils down to learning how to record videos on my DSLR. Once I do, I know that will take my videos to another level.

5. Doing more Instagram Stories. Instagram stories is where it's at and I have a few, but I need to make a conscious effort to do more. My issue with social media these days is that not everything needs to be seen by everyone. Sometimes I just want to be present in the moment without feeling like I have to stop and pull out my phone for everything.

6. Learning Lightroom. I love my PicMonkey and I occasionally mess with Canva but I have Lightroom and don't use it. Shame, I know. I'm so not techy and Lightroom intimidates me, but it's time to give it a try.

7. Enjoying where I am as an Influencer. I've been considered a Nano Influencer/Blogger for years. It isn't that I don't want to grow, it just hasn't happened yet. And you know what? I'm completely okay with that! Still, I have had wonderful opportunities to travel like when I went here, and participate in awesome campaigns like this one. Besides, I keep hearing that this is the year of the Nano Influencer so y'all better watch out! ;)
