Being a woman can be tough sometimes. Especially when it comes to that time of the month. It was even worse is being in need of period supplies and not being able to get any.
I think every woman on the planet can recall a time when we've needed a pad or tampon and didn't have one available. I know I've been there. Or how about the time when you searched your purse for a dime or quarter for the sanitary machines in the women's bathroom. There have been plenty of times when that sanitary machine didn't even work and I was stuck hoping that our friend or even stranger could help me out.
And other times most of us have had the money and just needed to make a quick trip to a store to purchase what we needed.

But unfortunately millions of women living in poverty miss out aren't able to access period supplies. Thankfully U by Kotex and Walmart Alliance for Period Supplies teamed up to do something about this problem.
With the help of shoppers like you, many women will now have the necessary sanitary supplies they need. Because of your support and participation in the October U by Kotex program at Walmart stores, U By Kotex and Walmart were able to donate 5 million period products to women in need. Walmart also donated $25,000 to the Alliance for Period Supplies. Yay Walmart! But most importantly, yay you!
As a thank you gift to shoppers, Motrin and U by Kotex would like to offer a special Ibotta offer.
Save $1 off U by Kotex products. Sweet deal! Also, for every purchase of U by Kotex you buy, Kotex will donate two products.
Thank you again to everyone who helped support this important cause! Now don't forget to get your $1 off coupon.
5 million products! That's amazing. I love that Motrin partnered with them also, thats my go to medicine LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome amount of support isn't it!
DeleteKotex has been my go to brand for many years. I love brands even more when they give back. ‘‘Tis the season for giving more than usual.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing light to this topic and the coupon because let's face it, we all like to save. I appreciate this brand giving back.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate it too.
DeleteThis is an excellent initiative. I love when [big] brands give back like this. I'm wondering how something like a menstrual cup would benefit impoverished women versus disposables.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I've never thought of that but it might help.
DeleteI can't even imagine not having access to sanitary products. IT sad that poverty affects so many people and so many women. Menstruating is hard enough.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly Kita!
DeleteIt is sad some people do not have access or affordability to sanitary products. Glad there is a good cause to help combat that!
ReplyDeleteThis is an essential post!!! Imagine going through the struggle and not being able to care for your basic needs. Kudos to Walmart!
ReplyDelete{Not sure what happened to my original comment) but it's nice to know women who can't afford period supplies now have access to them. As women we go through enough, but at least they have one less thing to worry about.
ReplyDeleteThis is one part of being female that has never grown on me. Every month, I'm like here we go again. LOL, I have two daughters too, I'm not ready for them having a monthly period, but I have started to teach them about their body and pads and tampons so this is life.
ReplyDeleteWomen in poverty need so many things and this donation will definitely help.
