Of course, were celebrating the holiday with a big Mexican fiesta. I'm going to whip up a batch of fresh homemade guacamole.
Did you know that store-bought guacamole sometimes has guacamole powder in it? No bueno! No need to mess with that stuff. I'll show you how easy it is to make your own guacamole right at home.
The hardest thing about this recipe is cutting and dicing the onions and garlic. Just use a food processor and problem is solved. You can also buy a jar of minced garlic to save time as well.
Easy Homemade Guacamole recipe
Ingredients:
3 Avocados
1 Lime
1/2 cup Red onion
Cilantro
1 clove garlic minced
Splash of hot sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Homemade guacamole is the best kind! I like to add a little chili powder to mine. :)

ReplyDeleteI love Mexican food but to be honest didn't celebrate Cinco de Mayo, instead hubby and I celebrated his birthday Saturday at Ali Baba's which was awesome and well worth the calories!!!!
ReplyDeleteI make a great homemade quacamole too. I actually add a splash of chunky salsa and mix it into mine too. I season with adobo, garlic powder and pepper and lemon juice to help it keep the bright green color
