Spring has Sprung in February?
We have been enjoying unseasonably warm temperatures since Friday and it has made for some beautiful weather here in Minnesnowta. Just look at the pictures that I took at the lake, which was packed full of runners, walkers, and bikers.
Today, I'm enjoying the last day of the winter heat wave because were supposed to get 5 to 8 inches of the cold stuff Friday. Whomp whomp whomp.

Loving All the Pixie Bobs & Undercuts
I don't know what it is, but the new year makes me want to cut my hair off again. I've been looking at edgy haircuts this time. Pixie Bobs, basically an acemetrical haircut or side shaved off, or an undercut. When I saw Taraji P. Henson's new hairstyle, I just about freaked because that's what I'm looking for. The only problem with an undercut haircut is that awkward grow-back stage. Either way, I'm cutting something soon.
Decisions, Decisions
Sigh... for the past year I've been going back and forth about what to do. See, I've been juggling between two blogs. This one - Stacie Raye, and Minnesota Noir, a blog about African American life in the Twin Cities. Both I love, but I can't seem to manage. If I work on one, the other will suffer and vice versa. I really want to cover both topics on one blog because that would make my life easier. And easier is good. Stay tuned to see what I end up doing.
Anywho, that's what's up with Stacie. What's new with you?
It's been pouring rain here! But, just woke up to sunshine but, I see clouds rolling in. Glad you made it to the lake. Oh, the two blog issue. I do know about this. I have one sitting untouched as I just started to focus on one. Can't wait to see what you end up doing. I know merging will make your blog life easier though. Happy almost spring. PS. Looking forward to see your haircut.
ReplyDeleteHa, thanks! I've been seeing all that rain. Stay safe my dear.
DeleteYes can't wait to see your new do! I feel you on the blogging - trying to get back on track.

Thanks Robin. I'm excited too.
DeleteCan you merge both blogs??? I know about tough decisions.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm thinking about doing. It's hard though, you know?
DeleteI can't wait to see what you decide about both of your blogs! I have time almost to manage, write, and promote just one. Also, I simply adore short hair cuts so I am so here for that change too!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling! It can be overwhelming to do two.
DeleteWe are enjoying summer temps this winter in the D.C. area as well. Today is supposed to hit 74.
ReplyDeleteI'm a serial cutter so I keep half of my head shaved at all times. I love the cut in the picture. I'm also living Taraji's new cut. I'm a naturally edgy kind of girl.
Yes and I love your hairdo, girlfriend.
DeleteWe too are enjoying summer temps in Atlanta. And I really want to cut my hair this year, but I gotta lose weight first, my face is too fat right now (LOL, just my face). And I can't wait to see what you will decide on the blog.
ReplyDeleteHe he, I say the same thing about cutting my hair short.
Deletethis weather has been ridiculous with the warm then cold switching. I'll be glad when it's just Spring and be done with it.
ReplyDeleteI agree! We almost got hit with a foot of snow!
DeleteManaging life, business, and sanity is tough...but we gotta do it! I take time to reset. I'm loving the weather as well!
ReplyDeleteGood advice Joanae.
DeleteMy friend has deemed this season Sumter because it's definitely not Winter and a little warmer than Spring lol I was enjoying drinks on a patio tonight and actually got bit by a mosquito and my allergies are going crazy.. at the end of February! lol Great post.
ReplyDeleteWait, where are you at? That sounds wonderful!
Deletetake some time out and find out where your heart is in regards to both blogs.
ReplyDeletethe hair styles are cute.
I've been spending lots of time and I think I'm close to a decision.
DeleteYou have a lot going on and there is nothing wrong with that. I'm interested to see what you do with the blogs. I'm sure you will make the right decision.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ty. I'm sure I will too.
DeleteI have been loving this weather here in DC. Winter got lost somewhere and I'm not complaining!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it made a come back just a few days later!
DeleteThat is a cute haircut. I kept the sides and back of my hair shaved off for over a year and now I'm going through the awkward grow back stage. It's starting to get better now that I can twist the sides and most of the back.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, you can figure out a way to combine your blogs since it sounds like you love both topics.
I think I may shave off one side and see how I like it. I'll start small though.
DeleteThank you Suzie! The snow just missed us while everyone under us got pummeled.
ReplyDeleteOh Minnesota is so beautiful I have family there but it's too cold for me lol...I love the look of the undercut super edgy. I think you could merge your blog over to this one it would be cool! #productreviewparty
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to visit the Twin Cities...and live there! I think that area is so fantastic. I think you should merge the two blogs. That could be an efficient way to go.
ReplyDeleteOur weather is crazy here too. We have been in the 80s all week. I can't believe I have to have the AC on in February. The cuts do look cute though, I can't wait to see which one you decide on.
ReplyDeleteWeather has been up and down here, but mostly warm. I have two blogs as well and let one of them sit for over a year with no action, however, it still earns me money with the little traffic I do receive. I link the two blogs together without merging.
ReplyDeleteThat haircut is super cute, but can be a mess when growing out. Well, that's what weaves and wigs are for when you decide to grow it out.
