Whether you are a new mom or you have been around the block a few times like me, sometimes it's easier to stay at home for New Year's Eve. I've got a few ideas just for you.
Keep It Simple
Staying at home means no babysitter to worry about. Not to mention traveling in cold or snowy weather. You're also guaranteed a safe night since no one will be out on the roads. Pop some popcorn and pass the Martinelli.
Make Family Memories
New Year’s Eve is also a great time to make family memories. Try taking a family photo with someone holding a handmade 2017 sign. You can get as creative as you want with this. Share your creations on social media for lots of laughs and likes.
Count Your Blessings
We all have something to be thankful about. Now's a great time to lock back over the past year and share what we are grateful for. Share at least three things with each other.
Have a Vision Board Party
Head to your local dollar store and buy some poster boards and glue. Use magazines you have around the house and cut out words and pictures that resonate with you. Keep your vision board easily visible to you so you can get it front of you. The bible says write the vision and make it plain. I did this last year and saw actual goals come to pass in my life.
Happy New Year everyone!
All great ideas Stacie! and I love having vision boards too, time for 2017 one! We stayed home as well, just didn't feel like driving to Seattle even though it was only lightly snowing, it was nice to enjoy it on the TV. Take care and Happy New Year!! #ProductReviewParty

ReplyDeleteOh I love the idea of a vision board party! I might do that over on YouTube google hangouts I'll be sure to shout you out for the idea. Adorable pictures too :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, Keisha that is a great idea! I'll have to look for you.
DeleteMe too Suzie! I have all my supplies ready. I just need to make the time lol.
ReplyDeleteLove these ideas. It has been a long time since I stayed home during the New Years. You already know my family and I go on our annual vacation during that time. It's like we're always on the move.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about writing down your goals. When I was packing for my move I came across a paper I wrote down my goals over 6 or so years ago about how I wanted to buy a house, make more money, go back to school, and other things. Pretty much all things came into fruition on the list. It may have taken years to achieve, but the power of writing things down sure does work.
