How to Wear Last Year's Fall Trends This Year

Autumn is around the corner and it's time to prepare our wardrobe for the cooler days ahead. But there's no need to spend any money just yet. Let's shop your closet for three key pieces that are making a comeback this Fall.

Floppy Hats - I've seen a few sistahs rocking the floppy hats already.

Booties - are definitely here to stay. I've been school shopping and I see them everywhere.

Ponchos - Ponchos are classy and functional so I say use them. This year ponchos seem to have more of a southwestern feel to them with prints that are Native inspired or reminiscent of something south of the border.

You might be asking, Is it a fashion faux pas to wear last year's Fall clothing?

Yes, you can safely wear clothing from last year. I mean who has the time or money to throw out clothes from year to year? If you are worried about trends being outdated, then you should stick with more classic pieces that never go out of style.

So what shouldn't you wear according to the internets?

Round toe pumps and harem pants are out. I guess neons are also dated. And apparently elastic jeggings didn't make the cut.

Wait, what? I love my elastic jeggings. These are so tummy friendly. Sorry fashion police but they're staying!

Bottom line? Personally, I say do whatever works for you. If it's functional and makes you look good then wear it with boldness! These, of course, are just my two cents.
