I actually have two college students believe it or not. Both are out of the home in dorms, hallelujah!
My son is situated close to his University. I asked him if he wanted to to do some dorm room shopping but he declined because shopping just isn't his thing. Sigh.
My daughter on the hand is just like her mama! She loves to shop and had a whole bunch of ideas for updating her dorm apartment where she lives.
I picked up my daughter and we headed to our local At Home store to participate in the At Home College-bound Challenge to see who could come up with the best dorm room decor. I enjoy decorating and I think I know my daughter's style so this should be interesting.
Me picking out dorm room items that I think my daughter would like. Or am I picking out things that I would like? |
Take a look at the video below to see how our challenge turned out! See if you can guess who wins the At Home Stores College Bound challenge.
Isn't this store the cutest place to shop? I fell in love with it as soon as I walked in. There's something about a warehouse sized home decor store that makes me feel like I could stay there for hours!
At Home stores recently arrived in my town and it is perfect for decorating a house, college dorm room or small apartment. I can't wait until they add a few more locations. They'll be seeing a lot more of me!
Have you shopped at an At Home store yet? Do you have a college-bound student? Do tell!
I haven't shopped at an At Home store before, but I would love to look around.
ReplyDeleteOoh, you should. They have soo much to choose from.
DeleteI'm kinda jealous, because I've never heard of this store before and there are so many cute things to decorate with! Maybe it's a good thing that I haven't found one yet--I'd buy everything in the store.
ReplyDeleteYes girl, I know the feeling!

DeleteI love At Home! There is one by my house. It is like a Walmart for home goodies!

ReplyDeleteHope you find one. :)
DeleteNice! I'm not ready to go shopping with my li'l bit. She's 10 going on 18...
ReplyDeleteLOL. Been there and done that!
DeleteCute video! I notice how my kids' tastes are changing as they get older. They still like their favorite colors, but maybe there's a new color or accent that they prefer. I don't have any college-bound kids this year, but I do have one leaving college. She doesn't live in the dorms, but still has some of the really cute items that she bought for her college dorm. For the two girls still at home I just bought some nice, round shaggy carpets and plan on doing more in their rooms. I haven't been in an At Home store yet, but you've enticed me to go. How are the prices?
ReplyDeleteI checked their site.Beautiful designs!!
