My daughter and I had been planning to visit the Salvation Army Downtown location because we had heard it was the place to go for brand new Target clothing at a discount.
We headed downstairs because that's where it's at.
I'm real picky when it comes to thrift stores, but Salvation Army is decent and doesn't have that weird thrift store smell. Plus everything is new.
It's definitely more pricey than a regular thrift store and some items cost exactly what you'd pay in a retail store. Skip those items.
I found a pair of white pair of ankle pants for $10 and paid $5 because all red tag clothing was 50% off. They have a lot of sales, most on major holidays. Check out how I wore these ankle pants here.
This beautiful mirrored vanity table was $40. It had a small chip that you really couldn't see. My daughter snatched this up for her vanity area.
I recently went back and found 2 pair of shorts, one shirt, 1 pair of jean capris, and a pair of jeans for $23. ALL NEW. That's what I'm talking about!
These are kinda funky and have potential, I thought.

Have you been to the downtown Salvation Army before?
I'm always shocked at the great finds at thrift and consingment stores! Plus I've seen a ton of new items, clothes, household, decor and more! ProductReviewParty #111
ReplyDeleteThat's what turns me off with thrift stores, the smell. Wow, that's great they have new items, I wish the Salvation Army here in Atlanta was like that. Or, maybe it is and I just don't know it. #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous place to shop. I'm going to have to see what the Salvation Army store in my area is like.
ReplyDeleteI have never bought anything at one of these stores. I always drop my old clothes and books off. Since I read all books on Kindle now, I don't have the use for books now on a shelf collecting dust. But now, I will see if we here in Los Angeles have that area also. Thanks for letting us know.
