NYX Mall of America Grand Opening - A Recap of the Madness



Yep. I must be crazy. 

Well, at least that's what everyone thought when they walked by the line I waited patiently in.

For FOUR hours.



You heard me right.

I waiting in line for four hours for the grand opening of the NYX Mall of America store. Can you believe I waited four hours to spend my money? What were they giving away? Free makeup, a shopping spree?

Not exactly. Each person in line got a lip-shaped make up bag, and a scratch off ticket that could be worth something. I got $5 off of a $25 purchase. That's it. Part of me wanted to jet as soon as I got the gift, but I figured I would stay since I waited that long. Fifteen minutes later,  I made my purchase and was soo ready to go.

All that time and I didn't manage to take one picture. My feet and legs were screaming at me so yeah, sorry there's no pictures.

While in line, I got the chance to hang out with my niece and daughter and we talked about make up and drama. You know, girl stuff.

It was fun. Well I guess it was fun. I wish my body felt the same way.

I guess I'm disappointed because there was a media event the night before that I didn't know about. Not sure why they didn't contact me. I love going to those type of things. Plus, I'm a beauty blogger so...

    Nix mall of America had many great buys I am not sure if I would wait in line for an hour unless it was something I needed bad at a reasonable price.

    Good bless you! I wish I had that kind of patience. I would have walked past a line like that like i never meant to go there in the first place. LOL. I am glad you enjoyed and got what you wanted though, in the end, that is all that really matters! :)

    Sounds like when folks line up for Jordans. That is cool though. I will have to make my way there I like their products.

    What a shame you waited in line all that time and was disappointed. Hope you happy with the make up at least. I'm so not the waiting in line type. LOL

    OMG, four hours. Girl you are totally dedicated. I would need to use the bathroom, sit down and I wouldn't be fun to be around. lol

    Wowsers! You lost me at four hours lol. I've never stood in line for anything that long. I think the longest line i stood in with my kids was at Hershey Park for a new ride and we were in line nearly 2 hrs. Had I known, we would've never waited that long. lol
