I bought a bunch of beauty products with one thing in mind, to see if these babies were worth the money. Hey, I know it's only a dollar, but who wants to waste their hard earned cash? Aint no body got time for that!
Dollar Tree Beauty Hits
Dermasil Dry Skin Treatment Original Lotion - We've got a winner! I have been using this lotion on my kids dry, itchy, skin for a couple years now and my kid loves it. In fact, he prefers it to other well know and more expensive brands.
Angel of Mine Corn Starch Baby Powder - I have been using this brand for a long time. It smells nice and works just as good as any other baby powder. I especially like that it's cornstarch.
Super Dry Top Coat - This is one of the best top coats I have used! Seriously, I feel like my at home manicure lasts so much longer and doesn't chip as much as the others. Buy this!
Dollar Tree Beauty Misses
White Rain Facial Cleanser - I had been using this to wash off my eye makeup at night and I thought it was okay, but it's really drying. I so wanted this one to work. Oh well.
B.B. Lip Balm - Okay, I suppose these are supposed to be similar to Maybelline Baby Lips, but no. Don't do it. These are not smooth and felt dry when I applied it. No thank you.
Body Rave Pink Passion Foot Scrub - What is this stuff? I'm not sure what it is, but it's not a scrub, that is for sure! It's mostly some kind of gel with very few grains in it. If you see this in the isle, turn around and go the other way!
Truth be told, I tried a bunch of other beauty items for a dollar, but they ended up being a joke and I didn't want to even waist my time reviewing them.
Now, I realize you get what you pay for. But, when you can find a product that works well for just a buck, well...your girl is a happy camper!
Do you have any favorite Dollar Tree beauty items? Do tell!
People sleep on the Dollar Store but they have some decent stuff. I always get stuff for get togethers there - like paper plates, cups, and napkins.

DeleteI haven't been to the DT yet this year, however, I need to check out the newest items at our stores. #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteCheck it out. Sometimes they have brand name items there!
DeleteDefinitely going to check out that top coat and the dermasil. It's only a buck so if it sucks, no biggie. Thanks for the recommendations! #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteYour welcome sweetie!
DeleteI love Dollar Tree! I haven't tried many beauty products from there, but I do buy cleaners there. Love Fabuloso!
ReplyDeleteFabuloso is everything!
DeleteI love DT! Found the cutest t-shirt for our new puppy and picked up a little holder that holds bags so when I'm walking him I can quickly get his poop out of a neighbor's yard. Win win! #ProductReviewParty
ReplyDeleteThey do have cute stuff for pets!
DeleteI rarely shop the $ tree store but, I need to stop in there more often. I'd love to see what they have for a little basket of goodies for my daughter in law. She's due around Valentine's Day. I take Sammie for seasonal projects and school stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat's an affordable idea for a gift basket.
DeleteGood review, glad there were some winners in the bunch. Dollar Tree has some good stuff!

Yeah, you just have to find them.
DeleteIf you have an Aldi nearby, they have a pretty good skin care line. Not a dollar, but still pretty inexpensive. They have good cleanser and Q10 cream.
ReplyDeleteMy ALDI doesn't have cleansers.
DeleteThat Dermasil is LIFE over here. So is that lip balm. I'm fine with the dollar store. Ballin on a BUDGET!
ReplyDeleteGirl, me too! Dermasil is great on dry skin.
DeleteOoh, I never go in dollar tree but I will stop in there to see what they have. I may find some gems! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes they get store brands so check your store out.
DeleteGood review! You win some and you lose some. Not bad for the dollar store though
ReplyDeleteThanks. Exactly!
DeleteWe don't have a dollar tree in London, but our version is called Poundland. I never ever thought to try their cosmetics but I might try & see if I can save a few coins!
ReplyDeleteI think it's good to try out. You may find some that you really like.
DeleteI only go to dollar tree to pick up paper products for parties. I never thought to purchase the other products.
ReplyDeleteVenture out! You might find something you like.
DeleteDermasil is a good one, glad to know it works. LittleCuteLips has eczema so I'm particular about what I put on her skin.
ReplyDeleteMe too. My kid has super dry skin so it helps and isn't pricey like other brands.
DeleteHmm, I need to read the label on the Dermasil. It works well for my kids eczema.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I basically live in our Dollar Tree! They are my go to place for stocking stuffers and is great for essentials at a cheaper price that work just as well.
ReplyDeleteI have Sally Henson top coat and it sucks. So I'm going to be looking for the Super Dry on my next trip to DT!
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking out that Dermasil for my daughter's skin. I've tried another product by White Rain (I believe it was the body wash) & it was awful lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm shocked that the dollar store carries Dermasil. Wow! $1 that's a good deal.
