I don't do resolutions. I think it' nice to pick a word, phase or theme, but in a way it's a lot similar to a resolution. If you don't stick to it or fall short of it, you can end up feeling bad or unsuccessful. Instead I'm keeping it way simple this year by choosing one focus that I'm already working on. My goal? To be more organized when it comes to my blog.
Honestly, I've been using an editorial calendar and notebooks, but I sometimes let them get away from me. So this year, I decide to get a lil extra help from a few resources I have found around the internet.
*If you have a good printer or can spend a little more at a printing store, these free planners by
Fitness Fashionista and Brown Girl Friendly are a good start.
**But if you want the best, hands down, FREE printable, look to the Blogger Babes. They have a planner that is 264 pages and they only ask for an email address to send you the link. I LOVE it! What I did was print huge sections, since I already have a monthly planner. But honestly, they've got stuff in here that you never would have thought to work on. Seriously, go get it!
*If printing at home is not your thing, ByRegina (this lady is the BOMB) has a editorial calendar called EPIC BLOG (affiliate) for around $16.65. She also has get free printables on here website.
Remember, the Dollar Tree has $1 Monthly planners. If you don't have a lot of money, at least get one of these. It has plenty of space to write in your tasks and schedule posts.
But Stacie, what if I'm not a blogger, you say? Well, are you a mom, business owner, or just want to be on top of things in 2015? Then these resources could help you be more organized.
What do you use to stay organized?
Happy New Year to you! Great post, and tips! I ordered my Epic Blog a planner & I can't wait to receive it. And yay for printables!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you too sis! Printables are the best and they're free too.
DeleteI LOVE my organization tools! I'm such a nerd when it comes to this stuff. I use the Purposeful Planner from Corie Clark for personal/family items and I have the Epic Blog Planner for my biz/blog stuff. It's great to stay on-track. Really helps a lot. And I love printables! Will check out the ones you mentioned. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of Corie Clark, I should go check that one out as well. Thanks for the tip!
DeleteI just purchased the EpicBlog planner and a Passion Planner. Hopefully those two will help me organize my life and blog, and improve my time management a bit. Organization is an attainable goal. We can do it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Everything will come together better when we're organized.
DeleteHello #BLMGIRL...I downloaded the Blogger Babes one...I usually don't print but this time I will..!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! It's a lot of paper, but you can just print the sections you need.
DeleteI love byRegina! She is the bomb!

Isn't she! I love her site. So much information!
DeleteHi Stacie, I love using a weekly/monthly planner to stay on track. But, in addition this year I need to add a section for tracking book keeping. Since I work on WordPress I could add a editorial calender right to the site if I really wanted to get savvy. Love the photo! Hope to chat with you via email soon.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool that WP offers an EC. Blogger doesn't have any tools like that, but I love how easy it is to use. Looking forward to chatting. :)
DeleteHey #BLMGirl! I am so with you. I tried the blog calendar last year and it was an epic fail. This year, I'm taking more initiative and at least remaining focused on my schedule. I also cross reference to my monthly planner. I absolutely love it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks! My monthly planner is a must have. It helps keep me on my toes.
DeleteI need to get more organized when it comes to by blog too. I've seen some really nice printables but I'm sticking with my planner for now.
ReplyDeletePlanners work too! I use my planner and the printables to cover the areas my planner doesn't.
DeleteGreat post Stacie! I ordered the Epic Blog and I can tell it's going to be a game changer for me as I put more emphasis on my blog in 2015. Thank for the tips and I"ll have to check out the Blogger Babes free printable. #BLMgirl

Boy, I tell ya. ByRegina is making a killing off of her planners. I wish I had thought of it. Enjoy it!
DeleteI use my planner to stay organized. Right now I need to get reorganized to catch up with everything I've lost track of over the last two months.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the resources.
Great goal.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot manage what we do not measure. I believe in writing the vision down. This year I purchased a Whitney English Day Designer and absolutely Love it! Thanks for letting us in on some of the cool planners out there. #BLMGirls
