How to Winterize Your Nails

It's Winter time and we know all about taking care of our skin, but what about our nails? They need special care in the colder months as well.  So today we'll be taking a look at Winter nail care tips.  But first, update your nails with a color that is in the moment.

A Winter Color Palette

Forget last season's glitters and golds.  This season's color palette is all about dark blues, rich bronzes, and muted plums. Icy mint greens and soft pastel pinks look great on your nails as well.  These Nail polish colors can be purchased through Julep.

How To Winterized Your Nails

*File your nails to your desired length.  I like a short, active length.  I find they look nicer and grow better when they are this length.

*Next, be sure to use a cuticle remover.  I admit, I often skip this step, but your nails will look so much better if you do.

*Use a cuticle pusher and gently push back the cuticles.  You can use an orange stick for this as well.

*Buff and nip those cuticles and hang nails.  Be gentle, you don't want o over do it.

*Moisturize your cuticles often.  At least twice a day.

*Follow up with a great hand moisturizer and keep it handy for use throughout the day.

My version of a light pink nail polish.
