New Vidal Sassoon Salonist Permanent Hair Color

I'm a Bzzagent and received this kit to try out.

Coloring my hair at home is something I have done for years.  I usually dye my hair once or twice a year.  A light brown of some sort in the Spring or Summer and Black in the Winter.  Of course the Bzzagent invite to try new Vidal Sassoon Salonist came right on time.

Salonist hair coloring kit was something I had never seen before.  Your supposed to apply the product to your roots first.  Rub it in, wait, then apply it to the rest of your hair.  I guess this is how they color your hair in a salon.

I like that it came with a brush.  That ensures me that I will get all of my hair, because no one wants missing color spots in your hair, and believe me, it's happened.

My thoughts:

I have been coloring my hair at home for over 20 years and I've never experienced a salon color.
After trying new VS Sassoon Salonist at home, I felt that it takes a lot of work.  I have my hair chemically processed with a relaxer and all of the steps reminded me of that experience.  I usually just apply color and work through with my hands and that's it.  I can go on with the rest of my day.  This took a lot of steps and time to do.

I will say that I love the color results though.  I can see that I got everything and there are no missed spots anywhere.

"Stacie Sayz Try it if you have the time and patience, otherwise skip it."
