Candy Cane Cupcake Soaps - An Easy Hostess Gift

I'M BACK!  Well, I mean my soaps are.  For those of you that didn't know, I had a soap making business before I started blogging.  For whatever reason, I've been bitten buy the soap bug and have been wanting to create something.  Blame it on Pinterest!

It's been a goal of mine to start blogging about my DIY bath and body products since earlier this year.  I guess I've just been waiting until the time is right. Guess that time is now.

Candy Cane soaps were a regular featured soap for me during the Holidays.  There's just something about the sweet smell of peppermint. So I decided to make a very small batch.  Here's what I did:

You'll need:

Wax or parchment paper
Melt & Pour soap -Shea Butter
Peppermint Essential or fragrance oil
Red food coloring
Some kind of silicone mold
butter knife
Pyrex measuring cup

Prep your area with wax paper so it doesn't get on your table.  Microwave your soap until it looks like milk.
Add essential or fragrance oil.

Pour your melted soap into your mold of choice.  Add a drop or two of red food coloring and swirl color with knife.

Let cool.  Wrap with cling wrap to keep fresh.

I'm probably going to give these away as hostess gifts.  I guess I you really want to purchase some, you know how to get a hold of me.  Heck, I still even have my Etsy store. ;)
