Fall Fashion Trends: What's Hot & What's Not

Autumn has arrived in the Twin Cities and I couldn't be happier.  This is my second favorite season after Spring and I can't wait to start wearing my fall clothes.  Now, I'm no fashion expert, but I like to stay on top of the trends to see what will be hot this season.  Here's. Few things that I noticed.
Fall Fashion Trends

Wrap coats are in.  Yes!  I can do this!  I have a wrap coat that I have had in my closet for a few years and it will work perfectly!

Booties.  I don't see these ever going out of style for the Fall.  They look great with skinny jeans or leggings.

Wrap type sweaters (see above). Put these over a t-shirt and jeans for a cute and casual look.

Ankle jeans.  I'm on the fence with this one.  The weather here in the Midwest gets so cold and nobody wants exposed ankles in frigid temps.  I bet these would work with booties, though.

Trends I could live without?

Plaid - I just see this trend being just that, a trend.  Next year this will be out of style and dated.  If you must do it, get a cheap plaid scarf so you won't have spend too much money on it.

Chambray - I thought chambray was denim.  Shows you how much I know about fashion.  Don't get me wrong, I think it's super cute, but this top heavy girly has yet to pull off a button up shirt, if you get my drift.  I actually think the right person could pull this off, it just won't work for me.

Work out wear?  Though I love my jogging suits, I don't think this is an actual trend.  It's called a whole bunch of stars got caught sporting their workout clothes. I mean, moms have been rocking yoga pants for years. But, there are some cute sweatshirts and baggy leggings sets out there. I guess I'm glad I can be comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Florals and Western?  Just say no!
