I'm a Bzzagent and I received samples for my review. Opinions are all mine.
Yes girlfriend, I said it. Many black women I know don't give a second thought to wearing sunscreen but we really need to. In fact, I was just telling someone about how I got sunburned while vacationing at Sixflags years ago.
It wasn't until then, that I realized I need to protect my skin from the sun as well as those with lighter skin tones. Whether your outside running errands, jogging, or gardening, the sun rays can be damaging even to our skin.
When I received the invite from Bzzagent, I figured it was time to try a new sunscreen. What I like about Coppertone ClearlySheer is that it is light weight. It doesn't feel heavy or thick like some other types of sunscreen. It says you can even put it on your face. My facial skin is so sensitive so I will probably skip this step.

My thoughts:
I felt like Coppertone ClearlySheer Sunscreen went on smooth and gave me protection. I will be honest though, I do like to tan during the summer months. Even still, I'm sure I will use this a lot. Especially when I'm driving so I don't get the dreaded one-arm tan. That's never cute!
Do you wear sunscreen like you should?
Girl YES!!!! Black girls do need to wear sunscreen! I remember last year the family and I went to Pensacola FL. to the beach and I forgot everyone's sunblock. Mr. M told me to not wore about it because black folks skin does not burn. OMG, why the heck did I listen to him? I was burnt like a lobster when I got back home. It was so painful to touch my skin and within a few days my skin started to peel bad! Never again will I not put on sunblock!
ReplyDeleteOh no Louida! I think you don't expect that it can happen until it happens to you! That's the same way I thought until I was itching all day!
DeleteI don't leave home without sunblock anymore! One sunburn is all it took for me too. SMH. Now I'm conscious of facial moisturizers and lip products that contain some protection.
