4 Lip Balms for Smooth Winter Lips

Brr!  It's been so cold out lately!  Not to mention how dry my skin has felt.  We all know to double up on moisturizes during Winter months, but are you taking just as good of care for your lips?
You know your girl does!

I have kind of a confession to make.  I am addicted to lip balm.  Seriously, I'm not kidding.  I apply it all day, every day.  I think Dr. Oz even had a show once about women that were addicted to applying lip balm.   And you know what?  I rarely have any issues dryness.

So what do I use, you may ask.  Typically, anything I can get my hands on since I run out of this stuff constantly.  But, I truly have my faves.

1.  I'm currently using Strawberry Lip Balm.  Ooh, let me tell you girlfriend, this one is a winner.  My daughter gave me hers and I've been wearing it ever since.  This by far is the most expensive one at $6-$7 a pop.  But if you can spring it, please do.

Tip: I don't like to use my fingers in lip balm because of germs, so I just rub the canister around my lips.

2.  EOS- Another lip balm I'm using is Blueberry Acai (pictured above).  These round balls have a sweet, unique scent that I enjoy.  They're a bit more pricey than others, but worth it.  Just unscrew and apply. I like that it's finger-free, so no sticky fingers.  The downside is that the circular packaging causes it to roll and I still can't find my Honeysuckle EOS to this day. Oh, and keep it away from little boys that will toss it around. $2.99

3.  If you are a Vaseline type of girl, you will love the new Rose Tinted lip balm.  It's super thick.  I'm not a huge fan of rose scented products, but this one is doable.  It's not my go-to lip balm, but works for emergencies. $1.99

Update - After trying out the Vaseline Rose Tinted lip balm for several days, I can say that I really didn't care for it. I basically stopped using it altogether.

Instead, I would suggest Maybelline's Baby Lips. I goes on smooth and comes in several different varieties.

4. Last but definitely not least is Nivea! (in my Oprah voice)  This is hands down my favorite brand $2.99. What's cool is Nivea products always seem to go on sale at CVS and Walgreens and I can usually stock up on these for less than a buck each.

Honorable Mention:  Avon has some of the BEST lip balms for 99 cents or less.  They have cute little themes for Easter, Spring, Christmas, etc. and flavors.  I usually always have these around my house but I haven't purchased Avon in a long time.  Time to re-up!

So what's you go-to lip balm?  Do you use it?  How often?
