A few months ago, my daughter introduced me to Justfab and I bought a pair of brown boots that I was desperately looking for. At the time, they had a great promotions for newcomers where you could get two items for $40. You know I love a bargain, so that appealed to me.
The boots were fine, other than being made out of cheap material. Though they're cute, I really don't wear them a lot. They didn't fall apart or anything, I just noticed that the material wasn't the best.
If you're not familiar with JustFab, they're a subscription type company that lets you skip a month if you don't have the funds to shop with them. Problem is, I had skipped a month and they prematurely took my $40, which sent me into a panic: ie running to the bank to deposit forty bucks that I didn't have into my account. Holla if you've been there!
Instead of arguing with them, I ended up purchasing another item. I picked out a pair of black boots, even though I already had a pair. When they arrived, they stunk to high heaven, so I returned them. I exchanged the boots for a nice Fuscia clutch to go with a formal dress I planned to wear. Nope, didn't match one bit. Off to the post office to return it again. Geez, this is getting tiresome.
Luckily, the third one was a charm. I ordered a Coral purse called Bon Bon and loved it! It was true to color and matched my Easter outfit (above) and other accessories to a tee! It only took me three tries and a lot of patience. (Hint of sarcasm).
Though I absolutely love my new purse, I'm thinking about cancelling my subscription altogether. It just doesn't seem to be worth it. Beside $39.95 is a lot to pay for an accessory that rips, breaks, stinks, and so on. And you know this sista can find a brand name purse for that price!
What's your experience with JustFab been like? I've seen so many different opinions and I'd love to hear yours.
I've never heard of it although the coral purse is beautiful and looks great on you! I don't think I'd want to pay for service that is mediocre, especially since it took 3 tries to get it right.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment Simone. I totally agree with you!
DeleteI was considering ordering something, and after reading your post (although that purse is super cute) I think I may have to pass since your other two attempts failed...
ReplyDeleteYeah, the items are really cute but I'm not sure that it's worth it.
DeleteThis is the first I've heard of them, but it sounds like that's okay given how much trouble it was for you. Cute Easter look, though!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! A lot of fashion bloggers and YouTubers use them. I wonder if they're getting paid though....
DeleteThank you for your honest review! I always put stuff in my cart but I never purchase...I will think twice (even more) now :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard because so many people recommend them, but my daughter and I haven't had much success though.
DeleteI don't like their stuff. I'd rather go to payless. I like payless so that's not a dig. I don't like anything coming out my bank account and yes I've been there. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou know what? I like Payless too. I have a few purses from them and they're still in good shape.
DeleteI must say that the purse is gorgeous, and I've never heard of the company before, though. I usually don't order things, as I like to look, feel, and touch before I buy. Plus, I'm too frugal, but I definitely enjoy looking through a catalog or window shopping. Saw you on the Sharefest.

Me too. Window shopping really is the best way to shop. Sure beats money automatically being deducted from your account.
DeleteNot a fan. I also signed up with the 2-fer deal and got a pair of brown boots whose toe started peeling off after my first wear. Then the emails got buried in my junk mail and before I realized it 4 months had gone by-4 months x $40 is a lot on my credit card. I had to buy 4 things I absolutely didn't want or need-a bag and 3 pairs of flats. I NEVER would pay that much for shoes and these ones definitely were not worth it. When I called to cancel they just offered to give me another item free and I could call back next month to cancel. Right. I'd already been through the website 10 times trying to find anything decent. Definitely not worth it!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, that's awful! I couldn't imagine trying to find that many items because all the cute stuff is always gone!
DeleteCute bag. I have a JustFab membership and your post reminded me to cancel. What an experience that was. But, the pair of shoes I got from them when I first joined I really like. Sparkly flats. I guess I don't like being committed to just one shoe source. Oh, when I finally got the rep to agree to cancel my membership the reason was for "I don't need to buy any more shoes" - boy, my dh would love me to have actually meant that. LOL. Visiting from SITS, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThey need to have and answer that is more honest like, "Your site stinks!" or something a long those lines. Lol.
DeleteI've heard of JustFab, but have never ordered. It probably was because of the membership fee. I know my budget may not allow for that and I don't wanna commit to just shoes and accessories.
ReplyDeleteI have seen reviews on different individuals sites and didn't think much of them. I do know that most of the reviews I've read received merchandise as payment - maybe they happened upon some just fab. LOL
Sorry about your experience with them - that would definitely annoy me.
You know, I've seen a lot of reviews like that too. It's hard because if you are given a item, you may not experience the process like other customers.
DeleteLuv my purse though...
This is great information. I've seen the commericials for JustFab but haven't had the chance to look into their products/services. I love honest reviews and it looks like they could benefit from reading your review. Have you contacted the company to complain?
ReplyDeleteVisiting from SITS :-)
I haven't but I just might. I may make a video about my experience. Sometimes that helps.
