Influenster: Sally Hansen Hands & Nails Review

Nail Polish is one of my favorite ways to stay trendy.  It's an affordable way to update your look without putting a hurtin' on your wallet.  In the  past, I tried all the Crackle nail polishes, then bold brights. My latest is the Magnetic Nail Color from Sally Hansen that I received from Influenster.

What is Influenster?  Well, let me tell you!

Influenster is a free sample program that anyone can sign up for.  Once you sign up, you have to unlock  badges to be considered for the next scheduled Voxbox mailing.  To unlock the badges you simply fill out short surveys about  your life.  For example, there's a mom badges, a techie badge and so on.  The more badges you have, the better your opportunity is to receive a Voxbox. Voxboxes all full of free samples from companies that want you to spread the word about their products.

Whew, so now to the review.

My Summer Beauty Voxbox contained a few different samples, but today I'm reviewing the two Sally Hansen products I received.

Lately, I've been looking at my cuticles like, boy I need some help.  I'm trying to step up my nail polish game, but I definitely need more moisture.  And wouldn't you know it, I received Sally Hansen Nails & Cuticle Hand Creme.  Thank You!

It's nice and thick. Truthfully, I've been using it constantly as a hand cream, but I really want to save it just for my cuticles.  Shea Butter is one of the ingredients and it's supposed to give you 24 hour moisture.  I don't know about that, but it did last.

My eyes lit up when I saw the Nail Polish inside my Voxbox. Yay! I've been wanting this too! The Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color allows you nails to have this cool wave effect.  You have to follow the steps carefully though, or your nails won't turn out well.

First, you paint your nails with one coat of the Magnetic nail color. Allow it to dry completely.

Next, generously apply the second coat to one nail and immediately put the magnet close to your nail.  Hold for 10 seconds.  Repeat process on each nail.

Your end result should be Magnetic waves that look pretty neat!

I will say this.  Depending on where you place the magnet, your waves may not take.  I also notice that the effect differed on each nail, so they may not look perfect.

I like this look but I'll be wearing it in the Fall or on special occasions.  My husband even complimented me on my nails.  Maybe he was trying to get brownie points ; )
