Moisturizing my skin is an important part of my beauty regimen and has been so as long as I can remember. I learned that lesson early on from my mom.

Growing up I can remember seeing my mom applying lotion every day. You see, in the black community, it was important that you never look dry or ashy. How many folks remember their mamas telling them to "Put some lotion on your face!" or "Lotion those legs!" I sure do. Moisturizing our skin was a must do in my home.

As a teen, I used to love the sweet cherry scent of Jergens moisturizing lotion and I would be excited when I was able to buy some for myself.

Now that I have a family of my own I like to make sure that my kids always moisturize their skin. My son doesn't leave the house unless he has applied body lotion and I make sure of it! Today, it's less about looking ashy and more about actually taking care of your skin to prevent dryness and everything that comes along with it.

You all know how much I love to try out new products. I'm seriously a product junkie and when I hear of something new, I'm almost always going to give it a try. So after decades of using traditional moisturizers, I'm trying something different. I'm going to switch it up a bit and add Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer
Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Cherry Almond Essence into my beauty routine.

I'm always at Walmart buying one thing or another so, on my latest trip, I decided to purchase Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Cherry Almond Essence 10 oz.- which can only be found at Walmart, and Jergens® Wet Skin™ Moisturizer with Refreshing Coconut Oil 10 oz. 'cause I love anything with coconut oil in it. Besides, I trust Jergens since it was what I was currently using.

When you apply moisturizer to your skin while it's wet, it locks in moisture. Your skin cells expand after showering so this is a great time to apply moisturizer. Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizers goes on smooth and the hydrating oils lock in hydration.

I actually found that my skin really did stay moisturized later in the day. Plus, I like the fact that I seemed to get ready faster in the morning which is a plus for a busy mom like me.

  1. I have lotions all over the house, mostly Avon since I am a rep. However, my men love the Jergens brand and they each have a bottle as well. #PRP

  10. I haven't used Cherry Almond scent in so long! I used to love it so much growing up, but my husband doesn't have fond memories of it so I haven't had it since he told me. I may have to sneak some when I am on vacation or something... LOL!

  15. I haven't tried the Wet Skin products, but I use to love using Jergens lotion back in the days all because of that cherry scent.

When I was younger, my mom wouldn't let me put lotion on my face. I wonder why was that? Maybe because it would clog my pores and I already was dealing with acne.
