Pura D'or Shampoo & Conditioner Review

I received samples in order to facilitate my review. Opinions are always my own.

It's been a white since I talked about my journey to healthier hair, and I have to say it's going pretty well. My hair is growing and I have stopped using certain products.  However, when I come across a new product, I like o give it a try.

I recently had the chance to review Pura d'or products and wanted to share my experience with you.

My Thoughts

The shampoo is clear and super thick, almost like a sticky gel.  It has a medicine type of scent to it with a little bit of tingle.  My hair felt soft and moisturized, not stripped like most clear shampoos.

I loved the conditioner.  It smelled just like Lavender and Vanilla.  My tresses felt smooth and smelled sweet. These products contain Argan Oil, and I can feel the difference.

The only problem I had with this product line is the bottle pumps top didn't work at all and I have to take them completely off and then pour product into my hand.  I did hear that the same thing happened to someone else too.  I think they need to re-do their packaging and switch to regular tops that snap open and shut.  Because this line is expensive, I'd expect the pumps to work, so I hope they fix this soon.

I can't speak to the hair loss prevention because I used it for a couple of weeks.  It may take longer to notice something like that.

The Argan Oil was what I have come to expect from Argan Oil and worked fine.  No fancy scent here, and no problems with the packaging.  I used it to soften my hands, cuticles, and I even applied it to a burn scar. (Darn stove!)

All in all, Pur D'or really is a good line of products, but it's really expensive.  I'd recommend it if money isn't a option for you and if they get better packaging.

  1. Lavender vanilla sounds like an amazing combination for a scent! I love Argan oil. I've had amazing results for softer hair and smoother skin. I'd love to try it in a shampoo and conditioner, especially for Sammie she has curly hair that can get quite dry. Thanks for the review! Theresa @DearCreatives

  3. I like the shampoo because it is thick. With my locs I have a hard time getting products that lathe, but this one worked. Ironically, the pump for my conditioner didn't work either.

    1. They must have got a bad batch of pumps or something. Glad the shampoo worked for you though.

  9. I didn't have trouble with my pumps. I lose a lot of hair and it seemed to improve that for me. I agree I love the scent of the conditioner. I didn't get to try the Argon Oil but, who doesn't love that?!
