Last Thursdays evening, I had the pleasure of attending a meet and greet with Fawn Weaver, author of Happy Wives Club.
I had been seeing this book everywhere and though it would be a wonderful opportunity to hear her speak.
The event was held at a local Barnes & Noble in a nice intimate setting. At least twelve of us sat in a circle and listened to the story of how The Happy Wives Club began. Fawn shared her feelings of disappointment in the fact that there weren't enough images of happy couples in our society. When you turn on the TV, you see marriage in a negative light. Always arguing and fussing. "What about the happy marriages? Where are they?"
Fawn set out to find them. Literally! She set up a website and emailed a few of her relatives and that's how it all began.
Here, I received an autographed copy of Happy Wives Club from Fawn herself. Fawn has such a sweet spirit and I can't wait to read it. I'll be reviewing this book in the coming weeks so stay tuned!
